Argentina policy interest rate
Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA) tasa de política monetaria. The BCRA formally abolished its policy interest rate in July 2025 when it shifted to a monetary-aggregates framework; there is no BCRA-set policy reference rate in force.

Served as null on purpose. On 2025-07-10 the BCRA discontinued the Letras Fiscales de Liquidez (LeFi) and, with them, ended the tasa de política monetaria that had functioned as its reference rate. Under the current monetary-aggregates regime the BCRA controls the quantity of money and lets interest rates be determined endogenously by market supply and demand — it no longer sets or publishes a single policy rate, so no honest primary-source figure exists for this field. The nearest published benchmark the BCRA and market now watch is the TAMAR (Tasa Mayorista de Argentina, based on 30–35 day wholesale time deposits of ARS 1bn+): 22.63% TNA for 30-day deposits per BCRA data as of 2026-07-14 (https://www.lamacro.ar/variables), but this is a market-calculated rate, NOT a BCRA-set policy rate, so it is reported here only as context. Because inflation and money-market rates move fast, re-verify on a short cycle. History below shows the last explicit policy rates before abolition.
