Fixed-date (NOT shifted): Año Nuevo (1 Jan), Jueves Santo and Viernes Santo (Holy Week — Easter Sunday 2026 is 5 Apr), Día del Trabajo (1 May), Independencia (20 Jul), Batalla de Boyacá (7 Aug), Inmaculada Concepción (8 Dec) and Navidad (25 Dic). San Pedro y San Pablo (29 Jun), Independencia (20 Jul) and Día de la Raza (12 Oct) already fall on a Monday in 2026, so no shift applies. Chiquinquirá (13 Jul) is a regional (Boyacá) holiday, not national, and is excluded. Movable-feast base dates: Ascensión = Easter+43d, Corpus Christi = Easter+64d, Sagrado Corazón = Easter+71d (Colombian civil calculation). 2027 EXTENSION (2026-07-30): 19 holidays - 8 fixed and 11 moved to a Monday under the Ley Emiliani (Ley 51 de 1983), whose rule moves the listed days only 'cuando no caigan en dia lunes'. That qualifier matters in 2027: All Saints falls on Monday 1 November and therefore does NOT move, a case that a naive next-Monday implementation would wrongly push to 8 November. The Easter-relative trasladables resolve to Monday 10 May (Ascension), Monday 31 May (Corpus Christi) and Monday 7 June (Sacred Heart) for Easter Sunday 28 March 2027. NEW HOLIDAY: Ley 2578 de 2026 (sanctioned 1 June 2026, Diario Oficial 53510) added Nuestra Senora del Rosario de Chiquinquira on 9 July and expressly applies Ley 51 de 1983 to it, giving observed Monday 12 July 2027. CAVEAT: article 6 of that law is subject to a demanda de inconstitucionalidad admitted by the Corte Constitucional in June 2026 with no ruling as at 30 July 2026; the law is in force and fully effective, and any annulment would operate prospectively, but this date should be re-checked. Verification note: funcionpublica.gov.co failed TLS on automated fetch, so the Ley 51 wording is secondary-confirmed across two Colombian legal repositories; Ley 2578 is from the official Presidencia PDF. CORRECTION (2026-07-30): Monday 13 July 2026 was ADDED. Ley 2578 de 2026 created a 19th national holiday - Nuestra Senora del Rosario de Chiquinquira, nominally 9 July - and its art. 7 provides that the law 'rige a partir de la fecha de su promulgacion', which was Diario Oficial 53510 of 2 June 2026, with no deferred effective date. 9 July 2026 fell on a Thursday, so the Ley 51 de 1983 traslado moved the paid rest day to Monday 13 July 2026, and the Camara de Representantes confirmed on that date that it was being observed as a festivo nacional for the first time. This series previously listed 18 holidays for 2026 and so omitted a holiday that was actually observed; any working-day count we served for a 2026 range spanning 13 July was short by one day. Art. 6 of the law is under a demanda de inconstitucionalidad admitted by the Corte Constitucional in June 2026 with no ruling as at 30 July 2026; the holiday is in force and an annulment would operate prospectively, so the 2026 observance stands regardless.
