What this value means
Figure is IPC LIMA METROPOLITANA, not national — Lima Metropolitana is Peru's headline inflation reference (BCRP's 1%-3% target is defined on it); INEI also publishes a separate national IPC. Reference month: June 2026 — +4.01% YoY (jul 2025-jun 2026); MoM +0.23% per BCRP serie PN01271PM (var% mensual). Producer is INEI: indices published via Resolución Jefatural N° 156-2026-INEI (El Peruano, 01/07/2026) and INEI nota de prensa on gob.pe. The INEI/gob.pe site blocks automated access (HTTP 418; inei.gob.pe now redirects into gob.pe), so values were verified on the BCRP official statistics portal (estadisticas.bcrp.gob.pe), which republishes the INEI series — as also noted for this country's other series.
